Good morning all,
What an amazing week it has been. With everything that has been going on I actually have had a good amount of time for reflection.( I guess it has been the traveling in the car) it has got me thinking a lot about goals. At the end of last year I was told(by some very wise women) to sit down and write down some goals for 2010. It was really easy at the time but now that I have had sometime to reflect I think I may have tried to short change myself. I had to write down 10 goals. Seemed easy enough at the time. I thought ok well I should write
1.Finish top 5 Figure in Vegas
2.25 clients per week for training
3/4.Build my Ambassador/Sunday Sessions
5.Photo Shoot
Ect, ect
Nowhere did I really have a goal down that I would really have to put a good amount of effort in. I mean yeah top 5 finish is pretty lofty but it can be done. I wanted to write Cover--Magazine Spread---Booth Work. But I was to afraid to write it down. And the reason was what if I don't do it this year! What if people read this and laugh at me! What if it can't be done in a year! What I have come to realize is that it is ok. The Goals you make our yours not anyone else's. No one has the right to judge or minimize the goals we have set for ourselves. So what I am trying to say is--go back and readjust what your goals were for this year. Go out of your box and lay it out on the line. I have a saying that I tell all my clients. I will give you all the tools you will need to build your house. I have brought the hammers, wood and nails but it is up to decide when and how your going to build it.

ok well I always promise to keep blogging but to avail I always break that promise. It's not that I don't think it is not important because it really is. I really think that sometimes I break my cardinal rule that I yell at everyone about. Stop running around like a crazy person and remember to take time for me and to smell the roses.
Let me explain......
I had an opportunity to go to a casting call last weekend. I had submitted a letter and some heads shots back In the beginning of January. I received word that this company would like me to come in for an audition. I was so excited and called them back right away. Here were I had to struggle with being a full-time mom(single parent while dad is away playing Navy) and remembering that if I don't take this dream and make it come true no one is going to do it for me. So I called the gal back and she said that we are conducting the auditions on Sunday. SUNDAY WHAT!!!!! My kids are playing 2 hours away in a soccer tournament. How am I going to do this? On the first hand I feel guilt even wanting to do this--what kind of mom would leave her kids or make them leave tournaments early? But what kind of mom has no life for herself and what kind of role model would I be giving up my dreams? So I talked with the gal and said can I call you back? Let me see what I can do? I made a couple of phone calls and got the girls a ride back from Georgia and booked my audition at 5 pm on Sunday--the latest they would see me. Boy did that pay off today I got the call that I got the job and will be in the Stein Mart National Commercial for Spring!!!!!
So if you have learned nothing from this--just sit back and read it again. You are the only one to make your dreams come true--if you are waiting for someone else to do it for you , you may be waiting along time.

Well well well...
It has been a long time. I bet you all thought that I may have possibly have been taken by little green men...although today would be a great day if I were to be taken. Anyway the competition season has come to an end. I finished it with the FAP Fitness America Show in Vegas. Finished 9th in Figure Tall category. Not really were I wanted to place but at this point it is what it is. However I am improving my last show in Miami I placed 10th. So at this rate in 4 more years........no just kidding. It time to try to put on some more size and as always work on my legs(the ban of my existance). I had a great photo shoot while in Vegas. I am now waiting to see the finished product. I had a great time with my Savage Sisters. Everyone looked amazing. Now it is time to start setting those 2010 goals. Have you set yours? Your not waiting to start until till January right? December is as good as anytime to start. Before you know it April will be upon us and the start of the new competition season will be kicking down our door. Keep training and fueling your body with the right stuff and we can stay of track and start off next season even better.

Sorry it has been so long. Life has been crazy. I have had a real big change in the direction with my job. And man have I been busy or what?!
Anyway I am just under 4 weeks until I hit the Vegas circuit for the FAP. I am super excited. Training has started to get challenging(50 mins of cardio as well as functional, apple ass and weights) since we all know at this point my food has started to dwindle. Don't get me wrong I am still eating just nothing all that yummy--would love to eat a bunch of pineapple right now. But I am entering the home stretch and not to far down the road I will be back into my building phase.
Can't believe that the holidays are just around the corner. My hubby will be leaving for the 6-7 month Navy deployment come the beginning of the year. I am so excited for Vegas but with him leaving not far after it - it is almost bitter sweet. Don't want to get into the habit of wishing time by. I was hoping to get home for the holidays but maybe this next spring or summer. I almost was looking forward to seeing some snow. With Aaron leaving so close to the holidays did not want to travel across the US--tends to make things even more stressful.
The girls are almost done with soccer--well I should say done for about 4 weeks. Then after the holidays it will get crazy again. But that is what I do and I would not change it for the world--I love to watch them play.
Anyway I will post more later on this week--just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive just trying to get all kinds of stuff done before I leave for Vegas and before Aaron is gone.
Hope all is well

Hey All,
Man what a busy couple of days. My schedule changed a lot at the military base gym--which opened up some wonderful job opportunities for me. I have been running my butt off getting my own business up and on it's feet. I also have joined the Blackberry age. My good friends at work Ami and Tara will be walking me threw BB 101.
6 weeks out now from Vegas and am looking into a new diet change once again. It has been smooth sailing so far I don't anticipate anything that I can't handle. Cardio has pretty much stayed the same and you all know I love to hit the weights. I also received some new functional training from my Coach Cathy Savage--let me just tell you that not only did it kick my ass and take my name but it took both of my names--first and last!!!!
I will be traveling to Orlando this weekend for soccer tournaments with my oldest while the youngest and dad travel to Tampa. Man what a crazy weekend we have in store for us. Not to mention that it was in the 90's the last 3 days and going to stay hot all weekend. Time to lather on the sunscreen and down water like a camel--can't wait to visit the port a potties!!! Yuk!
I just found this picture that Maddy and I took back in July--I love it:)

Well it has been a week since my last entry and well life just happens. Soccer has been keeping me on my toes as well as prep for FAP in Vegas.
I had a big diet change over the weekend--which is cool and scary all at the same time. But as I tell all my clients that I work with--- if you always do the same thing--your results will be what? Exactly NOTHING! So it will be a challenge but I totally embrace and will run full throttle with it. I actually tried a new source of protein last night--My family thought that I was crazy but actually it was not too bad. I had Tempeh. It is made from soy and it is 100% vegan. I just cut it up and put it in the skillet with 1 tsp of olive oil and wella dinner was serve.
My husband had a Dinning Out on Friday night--it's a big navy thing. To be totally honest it's just a reason to go out and get drunk. It's a drinking game--if you get up from the table and don't asked to be excused you drink, if you swear you drink and so on and so on. Well if any of your know my husband and profanity--it is a real art form for him. Let just say we were home by 11:30 and he spent most of the evening "resting" in the bathroom. All in all we had a great time--I was the D and D. So I was alcohol free.
This week brings new challenges with my workouts--I have added some incline walking to my cardio on top of the already scheduled cardio that I have. We all have our areas--well mine is the unforgiving BOOTY!!!! It is what it is and I just got to keep working on it.
I am still working on getting my Sunday Sessions up and running and should get it all maped out this week.
If you are on PBO don't forget to get you homework in by Wednesday. We should be getting some more come Thursday for October. We all had a month to complete it--so no excuses.
Anyway I am off to the gym to get some leg work in before I have my first class at the Navy Base(already taught Spin this morning). Hope that you all have a great week!:)
